Specifies type of laser control:

• 0 = no laser interface, used when testing a recorder with no laser installed (see laser tinit)
• 1 = normal ADLAS laser interface
• 2 = Adlas laser switches to "inhibit ready" (open loop) mode once stable. For use during optical alignment; not for production or service use.
• 10 = Coherent laser control

A change from interface version 0 to 1 or vice versa may not come into effect until up to 30 seconds.
