| Description | This command measures the focus error over a range of lens positions. A linear fit is performed on the resulting data, the slope of the fit is used to calibrate the focus error. The quality of the fit is indicated by the displayed value, 'Fit Goodness'. If the 'Fit Goodness' is not > 0.01 check the positioning of the head to be sure that the media is within range of the focus measurement system. Ideally, the focus error should be zero with the lens position held at zero. | |
| To save the results of this command the value must be manually set using the 'set foc errorcal <n>' command. | ||
| Notes | The head must be positioned with the target media within range of the focus measurement system. | |
