During stroke calibration of a media, the diode power is first set using the power-curve lookup table, then refined by measuring the actual power. If the current required to set the diode to the desired stroke value far exceeds the value from the power-curve, the calibration for the diode is aborted.

Do a full power calibration (run "cal"). If there are new dead diodes, call Service.
