FErrorvSR.spt

Graphs | Data | Data Interpretation

This script measures graph focus error versus surface reflectivity and sum versus surface reflectivity. The receiver gain (foc rcvrgain) setting at the start of execution is used.

Your system must be properly configured before running this script. See Note 2 for more information.

FErrorvSR Graphs

  1. FErrorvSR.ps: This graph shows the error, in raw units (for more detail see Note 3 ), versus surface reflectivity. The minimum and maximum error values are –32768 and 32767 respectively.
  2. FSumvSR.ps: This graph shows the sum versus surface reflectivity. The maximum sum reading is 2047.

FErrorvSR Data

There is one output file, FErrorvSR_data.txt. This file contains three columns:

  1. Surface reflectivity
  2. Error, in raw units. For more detail see Note 3 .
  3. Sum, in ADC counts (see Note 5 ).

Interpretation of the Data

The main purpose of this graph is to prove that the error reading does not change as the surface reflectivity setting is increased until the sum is saturated (see Note 5 ). If the error readings differ by more than a few microns while the sum signal is not saturated, then there are problems with the range finder. If this is the case ensure that the FOC RcvrGain value is not too low.
