Thermal3 Command
bbs profile [<increment>]

Variables increment Specifies the spot increment as either 1, 2 or 4.

Description Perform a stroke profile and display the pulse heights. A stroke profile calculates the pulse height of all pixel(s) in the stroke ( the pulse height includes the background power of the pixel(s) ). The pulse height is calculated by determining the pixel power when the pixel(s) are on and subtracting the pixel power when all pixels are off. The backgound power of the pixel(s) is included in the pulse height by assuming that each pixel makes an equal contribution to the pixel power when all pixels are off.

Note that the stroke profile will close the shutter. However, the stroke profile will not configure the laser diode driver, beam-pointing driver or light valve driver.

Notes Thermal 1.0 / 1.7x equivalents:
  • The monitor command bbs profile [<increment>] is comparable to stroke profile and head power all.
  • Thermal 1.0 / 1.7x implements a configureable offset and gain for the beam-balance sensor.
  • Thermal 1.0 / 1.7x implements a unipolar driver.

Thermal 2 equivalents:
  • The monitor command bbs profile [<increment>] is comparable to bbs profile [nocal].
  • Thermal 2 implements a configureable offset and gain for the beam-balance sensor.
  • Thermal 2 implements a unipolar driver.
