Thermal3 Command
(requires ENG access)
bpd bode (open|closed) <startfreq> <endfreq> <samples> <amplitude>

Variables startfreq The frequency of the sine wave from 0.1 to 1017.3 Hz.
endfreq The frequency of the sine wave from 0.1 to 1017.3 Hz.
samples The number of samples from 2 to 512.
amplitude The amplitude of the sine wave in either microns or volts.

Description The "bpd bode" takes samples for to generate a bode plot of the BPD system.

For the closed loop case, "bpd bode closed", the stimulus is injected at the input of the servo loop based on the current sensormode.
  • Sensormode 0 and 2: the stimulus is injected into the position offset.
  • Sensormode 1: the stimulus is injected into the position offset for each individual laser. The bode samples are taken for each laser that is enabled.
The amplitude is specified in microns.

For the open loop case, the stimulus is injected at the DAC for the piezo driver. The bode samples are taken for each laser that is enabled. The amplitude is specified in volts. The BPD system must be in hold mode for the open loop bode.

The laser(s) must already be turned on and the BPD in the appropriate mode before running this command. For the open loop analysis, the BPD system must be in hold mode. For the closed loop analysis, the BPD system must be in the on mode.

Notes Thermal 1.0 / 1.7x equivalents:
  • The monitor command bpd bode (open|closed) <startfreq> <endfreq> <samples> <amplitude> does not have an equivalent.

Thermal 2 equivalents:
  • The monitor command bpd bode (open|closed) <startfreq> <endfreq> <samples> <amplitude> does not have an equivalent.
