Zero the differential sensor and the PSD sensor by acquiring 128 differential sensor and 128 PSD sensor samples with the focus laser and the write laser off. The average sample is subtracted from the differential sensor and the PSD sensor samples to compensate for sensor and amplifier offsets when calculating various intermediates values. The focus laser and the write laser must be off to ensure that leakage from the focus laser or the write laser does not affect the calculations.
