Thermal3 Command
(requires ENG access)
dir list (bbr|boot|main)

Description Display directory information for each file in the firmware bundle. The following information is displayed:

<Type> <Compressed> <Version> <Offset> <Length> <Checksum> <Status>

The file type is one of the following:
  • Code
  • Xilinx
  • NPE
  • ACT
  • PBP
  • IBS
  • DBP
  • WLC
  • RFE
  • LVDU
  • LVDL
  • Unknown
The code files are firmware files loaded by the boot-block recovery during initialization while the remaining files are FPGA and CPLD files loaded by the firmware during initialization.

The compression flag is used to determine if the file has been compressed using non-adaptive Huffman encoding. The compression flag will be one of the following:
  • No
  • Yes

The interpretation of the file version depends on the file type. The file version of the firmware files isn't implemented while the file version of the Xilinx files corresponds to the hardware version.

The file offset and file length can be used to read the file from flash. Note that the file offset is the flash offset.

The file checksum is used to verify the file when it is read from flash and determines the file status. The status of the file will be one of the following:
  • Pass
  • Fail
If the calculated file checksum matches the directory file checksum, then the file status is "Pass". Otherwise the file status is "Fail".

This is intended as a development tool and should not be used during normal operation.

Notes Thermal 1.0 / 1.7x equivalents:
  • The monitor command dir list (bbr|boot|main) does not have an equivalent.

Thermal 2 equivalents:
  • The monitor command dir list (bbr|boot|main) is comparable to dir list.
