Thermal3 Command
foc init

Description The foc init command attempts to move the lens tube to various positions at 'safe' velocities to determine the health of the lens position sensor and the approximate location of the hard limits stops. The command can fail for several reasons usually related to hardware malfunctions.

The equivalent of a foc init command is done once at system initialization to ensure the integrity of the auto focus servo hardware. When the 'focus init' command completes the auto focus servo leaves the focus lens in the park position which is defined as against the negative limit stop. This is the fully retracted position of the lens.
