Thermal3 Command
(requires ENG access)
ibs level <offset> [<width>] [nocal]

Variables offset Specifies the first spot to configure from 0 to 463.
width Specifies the number of spots to configure from 1 to 464.

Description Calculate the pulse height for the pixel(s) at all pixel levels. The internal balance calculates the required stroke profile by adjusting the pixel levels. The monitor command ibs level <offset> [<width>] [nocal] can be used to determine the relationship between pixel levels and pulse heights ( it's not linear ). The performance of the internal balance can be improved by determining and compensating for the relationship between pixel levels and pulse heights.

For the first version of the internal beam-balance sensor board, the automatic internal beam-balance sensor configuration sets the pixel pair in the center of the stroke to provide a pixel power of 1000 counts at the configured pixel level. If required ( for development purposes only ), the automatic internal beam-balance sensor configuration can be disabled by the optional token nocal. For all other versions of the internal beam-balance sensor board, configuration of the internal beam-balance sensor gain and offset is not required.

Note that the level profile will not configure the laser diode driver, beam-pointing driver or light valve driver.

  • The monitor command ibs level <offset> [<width>] [nocal] does not have an equivalent.

Thermal 2 equivalents:
