Thermal3 Command
set <subsystem> [<copy>] <parameter> [(<element>|all)] <value>

Variables subsystem Three letter acronym identifying the subsystem.
copy The copy of the parameter.
parameter The name of the parameter.
element The element of the parameter.
value The value of the parameter.

Description Write the parameter(s). If the parameter has only one copy and / or one element, then the copy and / or element must not be specified. If the parameter has multiple copies and / or multiple elements, then the copy and / or element must be specified.

The first syntax variation is set <subsystem> <parameter> <value> and will write the value to the parameter. Note that this syntax variation implies one copy and one element. For example:
  • set lvd strokewidth 192 will write the parameter.

The second syntax variation is set <subsystem> <parameter> <element> <value> and will write the value to one element of the parameter. Note that this syntax variation implies one copy and multiple elements. For example:
  • set bbs powerfactor 1 0.0 will write one element of the parameter.

The third syntax variation is set <subsystem> <parameter> all <value> and will write the value to all elements of the parameter. Note that this syntax variation implies one copy and multiple elements. For example:
  • set bbs powerfactor all 0.0 will write all elements of the parameter.

The fourth syntax variation is set <subsystem> <copy> <parameter> <value> and will write the value to one copy of the parameter. Note that this syntax variation implies multiple copies and one element. For example:
  • set med 2 laserpower 10.0 will write one copy of the parameter.

The fifth syntax variation is set <subsystem> <copy> <parameter> <element> <value> and will write the value to one copy and one element of the parameter. Note that this syntax variation implies multiple copies and multiple elements. For example:
  • set med 3 stroke 23 0 will write one element of one copy of the parameter.

The sixth syntax variation is set <subsystem> <copy> <parameter> all <value> and will write the value to all elements of one copy of the parameter. Note that this syntax variation implies multiple copies and multiple elements. For example:
  • set med 11 stroke all 0 will write all elements of one copy of the parameter.

The monitor command set or prm list will display the three letter acronym for each registered subsystem. The monitor command ver list [(name|date)] will display the subsystem number and acronym for all registered subsystems.

Notes Thermal 1.0 / 1.7x equivalents:
  • The monitor command set <subsystem> [<copy>] <parameter> [(<element>|all)] <value> is identical.

Thermal 2 equivalents:
  • The monitor command set <subsystem> [<copy>] <parameter> [(<element>|all)] <value> is identical.
