| subsystem
| Three letter acronym identifying the subsystem.
| copy
| The copy of the parameter.
| parameter
| The name of the parameter.
Read the parameter(s). If the parameter has only one copy, then the copy must not be specified. If the parameter has multiple copies, then the copy can either be specified or not be specified. If the copy is not specified, then all copies will be implied.
| The first syntax variation is set <subsystem> and will read all parameter(s) from the subsystem. Note that if the parameter has multiple copies, then this syntax variation will read all copies of the parameter. For example:
- set lvd will read all light valve driver parameters.
- set med will read all media parameters.
| The second syntax variation is set <subsystem> <copy> and will read one copy of the parameter(s) from the subsystem. Note that this syntax variation implies multiple copies. For example:
- set med 5 will read one copy of the media parameters.
| The third syntax variation is set <subsystem> <parameter> and will read one parameter. Note that if the parameter has multiple copies, then this syntax variation will read all copies of the parameter. For example:
- set bbs maximumerror will read the parameter.
- set med name will read all copies of the parameter.
| The fourth syntax variation is set <subsystem> <copy> <parameter> and will read one copy of one parameter. Note that this syntax variation implies multiple copies. For example:
- set med 2 name will read one copy of the parameter.
- set med 11 stroke will read one copy of the parameter.
| The monitor command set or prm list will display the three letter acronym for each registered subsystem. The monitor command ver list [(name|date)] will display the subsystem number and acronym for all registered subsystems.
