Re-initialize the edge detect state including the logic to generate the interrupt for the host. If the edge detect is invalid, the edge detect state must be re-initialized before continuing the search for the edge of the media.

| Note that the "Standard" edge detect control mode requires that the edge detect start off-plate and the "Featureless" edge detect control mode requires that the edge detect start on-plate. Re-initializing the edge detect state will also verify the starting conditions for the edge detect.
