About

TechPlanet Offline is a subset of the online version of TechPlanet including only those products supported in the field and only that information which can not compromise our intellectual property. Any information found on TechPlanet that is not mastered on TechPlanet can not be ported to DVDs. The DVDs are distributed 3 times a year, plus a Mature Products DVD which is distributed anually.

TechPlanet will distribute PD content on the offline media (CD or DVD) that is:

This would include software patches which are necessary for support purposes, but would exclude software builds, releases, or upgrades, which should presumably be provisioned via the logistics channel regardless of whether one is an internal or external customer for tracking purposes.

The Mature Products DVD is a separate disk that contains information on EOL products. To avoid the possibility of alarming customers who continue to use End of Life products, this disk is labeled Mature Products. Please keep the Mature Products all year.

TechPlanet DVDs are produced by the eBusiness team. For additional information, contact Brad Bergman, telephone +1.604.676.4545.

DVD Disposal

To dispose of unwanted or superceded Technical Library, SupportZone, and TechPlanet CDs or DVDs:

DO: cut the disks in half before placing into trash receptacles; DO NOT attempt to break the disks as they may shatter.
DO: contact the TechPlanet Service Team if more information is needed in case of special issues or concerns.
DO: periodically review your need to keep older versions of the CD/DVD sets and dispose of accordingly.

DO NOT: toss them into the garbage without cutting them first.
DO NOT: give them away to other individuals.
DO NOT: use them as novelty items.
DO NOT: let them accumulate indefinitely in an unsecure place such as a desk drawer, briefcase, bookshelf, etc.

The TechPlanet team regrets any inconveniences this procedure creates.
