Command: mload

Description:

Manually loads a plate onto the drum. Assumes that the LEC was open and a plate was manually placed in the LEC. The size expected (msz) must be specifief or the bay that is set up for the size being loaded. May require an "ale resume"

The "mload <msz>" command loads a plate of the given main scan size. This is the plate height around the drum (msz, in millimetres).

The firmware verifies that the plate is the correct height by loading the plate in three steps:

  • the leading edge of the plate is clamped and the plate is wound onto the drum until the trailing edge of the plate is covering the Bottom optical sensor on the load ramp, but not the Top sensor. ( as determined by nvs parameter al soff and the msz ). If it is uncovered before this move is complete, then the plate is too small and the plate is unwound.
  • if the plate is neither too large or too small, the drum is moved to the trailing edge position and the trailing edge clamps are applied.
  • then, the edge detect position in "plate_loc d" is reset if the plate size is different that what was last on the drum.

Applies To:

  • Platesetter_3244

Syntax:

  1. mload msz
  2. mload bay <bay_number>
