NVS Parameter: al soff

Long Name:

sensor_offset

Applies to:

  • Trendsetter_400/800
  • Trendsetter_400/800_Auto
  • Trendsetter_NEWS
  • Platesetter_3244

  • Description:

On Trendsetters this is the distance in mm from the leading edge clamp to just above the load ramp plate sensor. When loading media, the plate will be wound onto the drum and stopped at this position to ensure that the sensor is still covered. If it is not, the plate is too small.

On Platesetters, this is the distance in mm from the leading edge clamp to between the two load ramp plate sensors.

On the Trendsetter Autoloader, the sensor_offset value specifies the distance from the Leading edge (LE) clamps to the optical plate sensor on the Load ramp. It is used to calculate the plate size after the trailing edge of the plate passes the sensor during a LOAD command. The value for soff may be automatically calibrated by using the LOAD CAL command when loading a plate with a known main-scan size.
