Command: proof mode

Description:

Displays or sets the current state of the drum parameters indicating what proofing media is loaded on the drum. Optional ways of entering this command are:

proof mode - To see what the machine thinks it has loaded on the drum.

proof mode c <m> - Tells the machine to set the drum parameters to indicate that only a proofing carrier plate is loaded on the drum, and nothing on top of it. This will set the "state plate_loc d" parameters to reflect the fixed carrier mainscan size (841 mm), set the sub-scan size to zero, set the "status" to 1, and set the proof type number to <m>, a number from 1 to 8.

proof mode r - Tells the machine to set the drum parameters to indicate that a carrier plate is on the drum and that a receiver is loaded on top.

proof mode d <n> - Tells the machine to set the drum parameters to indicate that a carrier plate, receiver, and donor are all loaded on the drum. <n> is the media type number, from 1 to 16.

proof mode off - Tells the machine to set the drum parameters to indicate that the drum is empty, and no proofing media loaded onto it.

Applies To:

  • Trendsetter_400/800_Proofing

Syntax:

proof mode [off|c <proof type>|r|d <media type>]

Notes:

The parameters viewed/changed are:

plate_loc d status - is set to "0" for nothing on the drum, "1" for a carrier plate or more on the drum.

plate_loc d proof_status - is set to "0" for no proofing (i.e. regular plate mode), "1" for just a carrier plate loaded, "2" for a receiver, and "3" for a donor.

plate_loc d proof_type - set to the specified proof type.

plate_loc d media_type - set to the specified media type when "proof mode d" command is issued.

plate_loc d subscan_size - set to 0 for carrier plates and the width of the reciever for everything else. This dimension is used for knowing where to put the image, so the carrier and donor widths are irrelevant, as only a receiver can accept an image.

plate_loc d mainscan_size - set to 841 for carriers and the receiver height for both donors and receivers.
