Applies to:

  • Trendsetter_400/800
  • Trendsetter_400/800_Proofing
  • Trendsetter_400/800_Auto
  • Trendsetter_NEWS

Service Information:

The carriage driver has reported a fault. Control signals: status0 is high (inactive) and status1 is low (active). Check the cables running to and from the carriage driver board. Also check the voltage levels on the board.

If an overcurrent has occured, the OC and FAULT LED will be asserted on the carriage drive board. Note that the FAULT LED will clear after the carriage overcurrent has been detected by the carriage drive board. This situation will cause a momentary fault to be displayed at the diagnostic terminal. To verify if this occured, check that the OC LED is asserted before reseting or intializing the carriage.

This error is only applicable if the new carriage driver is installed. In that case, the "sys hpd (high_pwr_drives)" will be set to 1.
