ALE: Please close plate cover

Operator Action:

Close the hinged plate cover door and select the RESUME button on the workstation dialog box. If the problem persists, then Creo Service should be called.

Service Information:

Either the plate cover door is open or there is a problem with the sensor.

This error is reported if the plate cover door is open and either the picker or the plate separator arms attempt to move.

The sensor status may be checked by using the PICKER command. The sensor status should read TRUE if the plate cover sensor is activated.

It may be useful to set the 'verbose alcmd' and 'verbose alconv' parameters to 1 in order to obtain further diagnostic information.

With the key-switch in the normal position, the picker cannot move unless this sensor indicates that the door is closed. Disabling the sensor through firmware does not allow the picker to move.

Cause:

• The plate cover door may be obstructed by something.
• The plate cover door sensors may be damaged, or not adjusted correctly.
• The wiring to the sensors may be disconnected or damaged.
• If the cover is closed but the sensor is not working, then the sensor may be temporarily masked off by setting al pcs to 0.
• WARNING: Masking off sensors disables proper error checking!
