ALE: Error: request to punch plate when punch not properly installed

Operator Action:

Remove the plate from the machine and select "PLATE CLEARED" button on the workstation dialog box. Call Creo Service.

Service Information:

The system wants to punch the plate currently on the unload table, but the rotator and/or punch is not installed in firmware. Check the rotator_installed and punch_installed parameters ("set al ri" and "set al pi"), and the punch_plate parameter for the plate on the unload table ("set state plate_loc u pp").

If plates are to be punched, set the 'al ri' and 'al pi" parameters to 1 and save the new values (nvs save al).

If plates are not to be punched, set the media punch_config parameter to 0 (set media n pcfg 0). Any plates using that media type will now be setup to not be punched.

It may be useful to set the 'verbose alconv' parameter to 1 in order to obtain further diagnostic information.

Cause:

• The punch_plate parameter may be set to 1 with the rotator_installed and/or punch_installed parameters still at 0.
