Error Number: 16014

Error Message:

IMAGE: Can't flatten stroke

Applies to:

  • Green

Service Information:

This message appears when the exposure head is unable to create a flat beam profile with enough power at each pixel. There are two reasons why this can happen. The beam flatness tolerance may be set too small, or the laser output may be too low.

First step is to check if the beam has enough output power to expose the media in use at the site. If it does, you can adjust the stroke calibration tolerances using set <media> stol and set <media> ltol. If it doesn't, you need to investigate increasing head output.

For full details on how to diagnose and solve this problem, see the hrx service pages. The url is listed below.

Operator Action:

Click on Resume to give the Platesetter another attempt. If this error is reported again, Cancel this image and lower the exposure level if possible. Call Creo Service as the Platesetter may need servicing.

Cause:

  • Head output is too low
  • Beam flatness tolerance is set too small
