NVS Parameter: al mpc

Long Name:

max_picker_cycles

Applies to:

  • Trendsetter_400/800_Auto

  • Description:

    For version 2 picker:

The max_picker_cycles parameter is used to specify the maximum number of cycles that the picker head moves in and out to separate the plates during a PICK. The picker head cycles in and out until either the 'picker head out' sensor trips or the number of cycles specified by this parameter has been reached. The picker head then moves all the way out. If the picker_in_out sensor is disabled, then the full number of cycles will be performed.

If this parameter is set to 0, then the picker does not cycle and immediately retracts away from the plate stack.

    For version 3 picker:

With firmware version 1.30 only, this parameter is used to cycle the picker wrist in and out at the start of pick command. This extra cycling is only done when the picker has been inactive for two hours or more, or after the machine is reset. Setting the max_picker_cycles parameter to a number between 0 and 4 will cause the wrist to be cycled in and out that many times. Any number greater than 4 sets the number of cycles to the default value of 1.
