The physical distance from the center of the carrier to the
center of the carrier-type detection hole. This tells us how far the
carriage should move to reach the center of the hole.
The distance between the center of the carrier to the carriage home
tab while the carrier is on the drum should be equal to the
NVS parameter centre_plate_to_home (cph) in the carriage sub-system.
Therefore, centre_plate_to_home must be setup correctly for hole_position
to be evaluated correctly by the firmware.
The carrier-type holes in the carrier plates are the square cutouts located near
the leading edge of the plate, and are used to identify what type and size of
proofing media the carrier is designed to hold.
