Problem

  

When film crashes occur and the film is manually removed from the drum, both the film crash and the incorrect handling of the film can cause the tip of the fiber optic to be broken.

Solution

   Prevent damage to the tip of the fiber optic by installing the dynamic optic fiber protective cover.

Procedure

  

Warning: Due to infrared laser, do not use interlock!

  1. From the service utility, move the dynamic optic to end position (EP).
  2. Open the right side door.
  3. Remove the dynamic optic bow, by removing the four screws.
  4. Install the dynamic optic fiber protector, and fasten it with the three screws, as shown below.
  5. Reinstall the dynamic optic bow.
  6. Close the right side door.
  7. Reset the imagesetter.
