Dolev 4Press - FCO 28141: Resolving Black Spots

Description

On Dolev 4press, there was a problem with black spots occurring on the film. The timing of the calibration process (performed on the area of the drum not touching the film) was wrong and had to be shortened. This was resolved by making a change in the SOMC board (ECO 28141) and updating the Comp. Level to L), in addition to changing the micro version (use 9.065).

1. Reason For Change
   To resolve the problem of black spots occurring on film during the start-up of the plotter on Dolev 4press machines.
   
   
2. Description of Change
   Replace the SOMC board and load Micro version 9.065.
   Note: Micro version 9.065 will be fully released separately.
   
   
3. Change Procedure
   
   Note: Perform this procedure only on machines with the new ACRI and STROB-7 boards.
   
   
   1. Access the E-BOX.
   2. Save parameters to a rescue diskette.
   3. Remove the SOMC board.
   4. Insert the new SOMC board.
   5. Insert the diskette containing Micro Version 9.065 in the floppy drive.
   6. Reboot the plotter.
   7. Restore parameters from the rescue diskette.
      
      
4. Test Procedure
   
   
   1. Turn off the Plotter.
   2. Turn on the Plotter.
   3. Verify that the first load of film has no black spots.
