Recently we have been facing problems with the Stepper motor and the carriage. Those problems may be caused the Damper being pressed too tightly between the Stepper and the Leadscrew.

The pressure on the damper should not decrease its size by more than one mm (but there should be pressure on it).

Please follow the enclosed procedure for assembling the Stepper motor while referring to the following figure:

  1. Measure the distance between the L.S. Damper adapter and the edge of the bearing housing.
  2. Adjust the position of the Motor damper adapter and make sure that after installing it the Damper, it will not be pressed more then 1.5 mm.
  3. Assemble the motor with the damper. Make sure that the damper will go between the two adapters. The distance between the Stepper and the bearing housing should be not less than 1.5 mm.
