Dolev 800/800V/800VČ - Brisque Application Issues
Class Screening
Formats & Parameters
System Formats
Overview
The enclosed home formats serve the whole Dolev family.
They were tested carefully in STCL and approved only where good quality screen has been
achieved.
To enable class screen toggle class yes in the first format
panel. to work with S.S.P toggle class No.
New names for exposed formats: When CL - Appears in front of
the format name, it indicates class screen format. The next letter S, C, or N, indicates
angle set: C for Conventional, S for Shifted, N for none conventional (Where Yellow =60
)the next 2-3 digits indicating screen rulling in L.P.I., R and the next digits will show
expose resolution divided by 10. The last letter C, G, M etc. indicate the dot type (where
M = geometric, C = Composed, G = Gravure etc.). Home formats for standard S.P. will
exclude the initials CL. Everything else is the same. For example: CLCI50RgM stands for
Class screen 150LPI Res80 Geometric dot.
New default values: D ratio for class screen = 90 while
noise = 0 for composed and diamond dot shapes. Geometric dot = 10.
D ratio determines where the long and short diagonals of one
printed cell will encounter the diagonals of a neighbor cell.
For example: D ratio of 90 = First encounter (long diagonal) will be approximately at 40%
dot. The second encounter will be at approximately 60% dot. D ratio of 60 will provide
encounters at 30% dot and 60% dot.
D ratio of 99 will provide square dot.
System formats consist of recommended exposed parameters.
The expose format field is non-active while other fields are active (such as: label,
marks, excurve, etc.). By definition, only the highlighted fields in system or user
formats are active where input is possible.
Do not use TripIi field. This function is not supported
currently.
Do not swap between angles unless it is recommended by STCL
at the bottom of each home format page.
Since changing expose parameters is disabled in system formats list, copy system format to
user list and swap.
Default expose parameters are available when you toggle
"display final values" in the 3rd format panel.
When exposing through system formats on Dolev 800, a pattern
caused by the lead screw may appear in single separations. To eliminate -the pattern
reduce spinner speed in 10% to 15% and compensate for density max.
Composed dot: Expose parameters are compatible to Square dot
expose parameters. To create square dot expose format, copy from the system list to the
user list the desired format and change dot type only.
The (,) sign indicates system limitations for expose
parameters. Do not use any other parameter in system formats, nor user formats.
The current tripli function will be change to dupli in the
future.
This is why the "dupli" presentation was chosen for that document.
