FSB 284 - Running Diagnostics for Dolev 800 via the HP Terminaly

Recently the Dolev 800 diagnostics was supplied with a possibility to run diagnostics via the HP terminal. This diagnostics does not contain the Utilities functions.

Procedure to run the diagnostics:

1. a.     If you have Diagnostic version 1.06, place the diagnostic diskette in drive A: of your Notebook or any           other computer with only one drive.
   b.     Type:"setup", then <CR>
   c.     Choose "M" for Monitor PC.
2. a.     If you have Diagnostic version 1.08, place the diagnostic diskette in drive A: of your Notebook or any           other computer.
   b.     Type: "setup", then <CR>.
   c.     Choose: "D-direct" for HP-Terminal.
   
   
3. In order to run the diagnostic through the HP terminal, you have to connect the Notebook - Dolev 800, which is supplied with every machine, to the adaptor, cat no.184G00010, also supplied with the Dolev 800.
   
   
4. Connect the Notebook - Dolev 800 cable to the Standard controller in the CPU brd com1 (after disconnecting the cable to the operational panel). Connect the other side of the adaptor (the 25 pins connector) to one of the HP terminal parts.
   
   
5. Place the diskette in the Dolev 800 floppy drive. Start up the machine (or press the reset button) and wait for the diagnostics menu to appear on the LCD of the operational panel.

Note: You cannot run the utility functions from the HP terminal.
