FSB 332 DOLEV 800 CONFIGURATIONS UPDATE

Dolev 800 supports three basic configurations:

1. Whisper
   
2. PS
   
3. Triangle (Whisper + PS)

As of 16th May 1993 all Dolev 800P will not have any data boards in the built-in Data Unit Crate (ECO17666).

Until this date all Dolev 800 come with the Fast Data 1 and Fast Data 2 boards, including the SFLM board.

Instead two Data kits were defined:

1. Dolev 800 I/F to PS cat. no. 501S32872
   
2. Kit I/F, DLV/WH VLSI cat. no. 510K37062

This situation is temporary.

The new VLSI screen processor board which is supposed to support both Whisper and PS configurations and replace the Fast Data Boards, does not yet support the SFL connection.

Therefore Fast Data Boards will continue to support the PS connection and VLSI SP will support Whisper connections w/o SFLM.

What does each kit include?

The Dolev 800 I/F to PS kit includes:

SFLM boards
Fast Data I board
Fast Data 2 board
Fiber cable
3 flat cables

The kit I/F, DLV/WH VLSI includes:

VLSI Screen Processor Board
PC to Prisma cable - 30m
Host cable - 30m
