Dynamic Optic is Lifted When Carriage Returns to HP

Symptoms		Image out of focus Spinner stuck Misregistration

Cause		When the carriage returns to HP, one of the chain links is caught on the straight edge of the rounded side of the chain holder. Since the stepper continues to run, the carriage keeps moving and the dynamic optic is forced upward.

Solution		The R&D team is working on a solution. In the meantime, you can change the angle of the metal chain holder bracket, as described below. Open the chain holder bracket, and then loosen the screw, as shown below. Readjust the angle of the metal chain holder bracket. The original position, shown below, is at a 90° angle from the chain holder post. Tighten the screw, and then close the chain holder bracket. Send the carriage to EP and HP and verify the following: The carriage moves smoothly The chain re-coils properly, as shown below, without catching on the chain holder.
