Srelay board

Symptoms

burning smell in the area of the Srelay boards

Cause

One of the components controlled by the Srelay board has a short circuit, or gets stuck for mechanical reasons, which causes the Srelay board to burn.

Solution

1. Visual check the wiring and connectors to and from the Srelay boards, and the components operated by the Srelay boards. Replace any wire or connection that appears to be damaged.

Note: After replacing any wire or component, install a new Srealy board and run an exposure sequence to test whether the replacment resolves the problem.

2. Visual check the components operated by the Srelay boards. Replace any component that appears to be damaged.
3. From the Tools menu, operate each of the components that are controlled by the Srelay boards.
4. If any component does not work, try to operate it manually, to verify its function.
5. If the component does not function, remove any obstacle that prevents the component from functioning, and try to operate it manually again.
6. If the component does not function, check all components related to that system, and replace any malfunctioning component.
