Problem

Small white spots appear in black exposure when unloading online.

Description

Because the entry guide (the one on the emulsion side) of the internal conveyor is removed by default in STCL, in some cases the film is pushed very hard during unloading against the belts.  This will destroy the emulsion. Turning the belts, so the smooth side is out, might not help.  Problem can be mainly seen on big black areas, especially negative exposures.

Solution

In case of having this problem, install the removed guide, so film is pushed away from the belts.

Check carefully that no scratches can be seen on film.  That is the reason why this guide is normally removed.
