Feature license expired before expiry date

Product

Creo Feature Licensing

Symptoms

Feature license expiry date has not passed but it says it is expired. For example, the system date is April 4 and the expiry date is April 11, but CFL Manager shows that the license has expired.

Cause

The system date/time was changed and moved backward causing a time anomaly. The System indicator is red, and “A timing anomaly is currently in effect” message appears when you move the cursor over the System indicator as shown below.

Solution

Use Service Options in CFL Manager to reset the time stamp:

  1. Make sure that the system date/time is properly set.
  2. Plug in your service dongle or, if working remotely, use Service Dongle Manager to remote your service license to the site.
If working remotely, the next steps must be done by the customer.
  3. In CFL Manager, select Service>Options.
  4. Under Time Management, look for the message “There is currently a time tampering anomaly set!”
  5. Click Reset Time Stamp.
