Description

The purpose of this FCO is to make opening the side door of the Lotem 400 easier.

  1. Reason For Change

The mechanical locking mechanism made the side doors difficult to open. Replacing the mechanical mechanism with a new, magnetic one makes it easier to open the doors.

  2. Description of Change

Replace the old mechanical mechanism with the new, magnetic one.

  3. Change Procedure

    1. Remove the mechanical locking mechanism on both side doors by removing the 2 upper and 2 lower nuts. You can dispose of the mechanical locking mechanism.

    2. Remove the mechanical locking mechanism from the inner frame on both sides by removing the 2 upper and 2 lower screws.

    3. Assembly the upper and lower magnets on the inner frames with 2 screws.
Note: The two magnets are not identical. The upper magnet has a 10 mm gap between the magnet and the base, and the lower has a 7 mm gap.

  4. Test Procedure

    1. Close the door. The magnets on the inner frame hold the door closed.
