CreoScitex Digital Target (SDT)

Figure 45. shows the CreoScitex Digital Target (SDT) after positive exposure on a negative plate (the SDT after positive exposure is similar). The numbers in below text refer to the numbers in figure.

  1. In this area, each numbered section represents one of the 24 diodes.
Each diode exposes a group of solid and dotted lines. If all these sections appear equal, this means that all diodes are operating properly. If only the solid lines appear, this may indicate a problem with the diode driver.
  2. Highlight areas with dot percentage ranging from 0% to 5%.
Shadow areas with dot percentage ranging from 95% to 100%.
  3. Target consisting of different shapes with line thickness of 10µm (1P), for positive and negative. To check intensity.
  4. Check-patterned squares in 1P, 2P, 3P, 4P and 8P sizes. To check the focus, resolution, intensity uniformity, and elevation.
  5. Horizontal and vertical lines in 1P, 2P, 3P and 4P thickness. To check resolution and delay.
  6. Squares with dot percentage from 0% to 100%, in steps of 10%.
  7. Lines and circles of various thickness. To check resolution, delay, intensity uniformity and elevation of the optical head.
  8. Dot area to check uniformity, highlights and shadows.
