Lotem Expose Patches to fix Resubmit problem of Abort, Failed Job

* To install the Patches 2 Lotem 400 PC Controller patches:
Enter the patches folder under LotemExpose_Extra folder
In the LoetmExpose CD and. Double click on the “install_patches.bat”
Script and check that all files were copied.
Before Lotem Expose S/W Upgrade
Verify that the Lotem Expose is working o.k – Expose sample job
Exit from Lotem Expose and Shutdown PC Controller applications
Install Lotem PC Controller Patches ( See the instructions above )
Reboot the system

Remove the existing Lotem Expose application.
Install the new Lotem Expose application.
Restore Config
( Important Note: We do not recommend to use it in this upgrade
From v123 because you will have problems with templates or HF’s
and for sure not from older versions than v123, for some settings like:
Excurve, Tone-Reproduction, User Screen Sets, Press Format, you can
copy them manually from Config_Save Folder under dataVolumes )

* To install the Lotem Expose patches
Exit the Lotem Expose application.
Under the LotemExpose_Extra folder in the LotemExpose CD, open the Lotem Expose Patches folder.
Double click Lotem_Expose_patches.exe, browse to the folder
C:\LotemExpose\version\dlls,
and then click UnZip.
Copy the file named machineCalibBase.jtt, and then paste it into the folder C:\LotemExpose\version\plt_calib.
* To install the PC MacLan patch
Check the date of ATServer.exe under C:\ PC MACLAN for NT folder it
should be 7/31/01 if not you need to install the patch.
Exit from Lotem Expose and Lotem PC Controller applications.
Log Off and Login to Windows NT
Start->Settings->Control Panel -> services -> select "Miramar
AppleTalk File
Server" than select Stop button
Enter the PC MacLan Patch folder under LotemExpose_Extra folder
In the LoetmExpose CD.
Double click on the "Atserver.exe" and browse to the folder C:\PC
MACLAN
for NT\ than do click on UnZip
Start->Settings->Control Panel -> services -> select Miramar AppleTalk
file server than select Start button
Limitations
Lotem Expose supports Brisque jobs or PS/M Ripped jobs but does not support
Brisque impo jobs.
Copy to dataVolume from PS/M fails when it is not the first mounted volume
on the Mac ( Will be fixed on PS/M v7.1 ).
RIPped jobs on the PS/M cannot be deleted automatically after Copy as this
is working only with the direct expose from the Mac.
The only way is to delete the jobs manually from the Mac
( Will be fixed on PS/M v7.1 ).
Preview is done from the PS/M application or PressTouch. At the Lotem Expose
application, you can use the File Info option to view low res and
thumbnail previews.
To see the thumbnail preview you drag & drop a page and not a job.
Other windows can hide the File Manager window. In order to see it, you
need to minimize sometimes other windows (if they are open).
You need to set the appropriate resolution in the dialog box. In case of
a mismatch between the LW resolution and the screen set resolution, the
expose process will fail.
Job names cannot contain any special characters (as # % @ / \ J)
The Lotem Expose & Lotem Contro ller are two independent applications;
each application needs to be launched and shut down independently, and each
application has its own message mechanism.
Lotem Expose dialog boxes overlap some of the Lotem controller dialog boxes.
To see the Lotem controller dialog boxes, you need to drag the
Lotem Expose dialog boxes to the side of the window or minimize them
In case the PC was Shutdown not in the proper way PC MacLan will need To
rebuild the desktop files so during Startup you will get error on
corrupted data files and you should click “Yes” and “OK”
in all the following dialogs to rebuild the files and PC MacLan will start
to work. Note: Rebuild can be done automatically if you select the checkbox
“Rebuild data files without prompting” in the dialog of PC MacLan
File Server -> Configure -> Server Information
Known Bugs.
Some TIFFs (depending on size and strip) cannot be exposed.
TIFF Bit-Map files can cause many stop-spirals
After loading and configuring version 1.50.08 or 1.60.04 and Lotem Expose
version 1.00.135, the Lotem Expose application does not start after the
Lotem application starts. Workaround: In Lotem Expose/version/registry, double-click ScilLauncher.reg.
