Lotem 400 Update 1 for Version 1.60.09

Note: The calibration of the Width Start Image Area and Height Start Image Area parameters and the parallel spoilers is essential for correct expose results and proper exploitation of the edge detection system.

Update 1 resolves the following issues:

• Edge detection—among the factors that lead to edge detection problems were the following:
  • The location and width of strips 1 and 2 were not precise.
  • The System was sensitive to inconsistancies in the power supply.
• Support for MCF2 board, comp level R and earlier, including MCF1.
• Windows error message during shutdown in the Lotem 400 Xpose with UDRC configuration

Update 1 includes the following functionality:

• Strips 1 and 2 are automatically defined.
  
• The Drum power calibration value is improved to make the system less sensitive to power supply inconsistancies.

Pre-requisite:

Before loading Update 1, if you have made any mechanical changes to the pins, spoilers, or encoders, recalibrate the width start image area.

To install Update 1:

Note: You can order Update 1 for Version 1.60.09 on CD, part number 633-00261A.

1. Insert the Update 1 CD in the CD drive. The update self-installs.
2. After installing Update 1, from the Registry, select IO OBJECTS\Plate Edge Detection System and change the Wide Range Search parameter value from 0 (default) to 1.
