Update 3 Release Notes for Lotem 400 Xpose Version 1.01.047

These release notes describe the additions and corrections that have been made since Update 1, and how to install the update.

Enhanced functionality

In the Help dialog box, About shows the exact version number with the update number.

Fixed bugs

• The cyclic option, when selected, enables different spot angles for jobs with CMYK and spots.
• When you delete or creating a hot folder, the folder color in the GUI changes.
• The option to choose dataVolumes as a hot folder is blocked.
• The hair line that occurred between the CT and LW in some CT/LW jobs is resolved.
• TSP error 7125 that occured with TIFF with G4 compression is resolved.
• The message log is automatically updated to remove old entries.
• The value of the buffer for shared memory between TSP and Imaging Engine is reduced from 32 MB to 12 MB.
• The error message that occured in the calibration dialog box when the Image Offset horizontal and vertical parameter values are 0 (default) is resolved.
• The error message that the offset width and height were switched that occured in the calibration dialog box is resolved.
• The error message DDB Mismatch line that occurs during strip calibration due to the lack of synchronization between the DDB and the TSP is resolved.
• Intermittent failure of spot 1 bit tiffs files from Prinergy Evo, with the error message: mismatch between separations is resolved.

Limitations

• When new jobs enter the queue, there is no indication from the New Jobs icon.
• The filters for the screen set list do not work.
• In some 3rd party TIFF files, the error message mismatch between separations appears.
  Workaround: drag and drop the file onto a template.
• When the cyclic option is selected, the slug gives unnecessary information.
• Create PPD considers only the media size, and does not consider the press format margin parameters.
• The two default hot folders must be set manually after installation.

Installation notes

• Update 3 is available on CD only.
• Install Update 3 after installing version 1.01.047.
• Update 3 can be un-installed, if required.

To install the update

IMPORTANT: Before you install Update 3, verify that LotemXpose 1.01.047 is already installed.

1. Insert the Lotem Xpose CD and browse to LotemXpose_Extra\LotemXpose_Upd3.
2. Save update 3 on your PC.
3. Verify that Lotem Xpose version 1.01.047 is installed.
4. Verify that Lotem Xpose Update 1 is not installed. Uninstall Update 1, if required. (Use the uninstall file, and restart the workstation before and after uninstalling Update 1.)
5. On the Lotem workstation, close all applications and windows.
6. Restart the Lotem workstation.
7. Browse to the folder in which you saved Update 3 and double-click LotemXposeUpd_3.EXE to open the update installation wizard.
8. Follow the instructions in the wizard. When the wizard installation is complete, the workstation restarts.

Note: You must always restart the workstation after each software and update installation.

To check that the update has been installed

In the Lotem Xpose application, from the Help menu, select About. In About LotemXpose, the version should be 1.01.047 Upd 003.

To uninstall the update

1. On the Lotem workstation, close all applications and windows.
2. Restart the Lotem workstation.
3. Browse to the folder in which you saved Update 3 and double-click UninstLotemXposeUpd3.EXE to open the Remove Installation wizard.
4. Follow the instructions in the wizard. When the update removal is complete, the workstation restarts, and the Lotem workstation now contains LotemXpose released version 1.01.047.
