Version 1.30.04 Tips and Workaround

Version 1.30.04 is the latest version for the Lotem 400 and Lotem 400 w/ MCU .
When used in the Multi Cassette configuration few bugs/problems may occurred - please find below a summery
of all known issue and how to solve them .

1. Loading the version -
   Pre Requisite : DDB1N & NUC comp level N or higher (last is O) .
   A new FCO have been prepared 510F27417 which include CD Version 1.30.04 - 510V1N168C and NUC C.L -O 503C2L182S > still not available in stock (order the board directly).

   Before loading starts close all open application and windows on you PC (including Windows Explorer)

   A configuration window will show up during the loading - you do not need to open the machine covers to check each
   board revision > the application takes it automatically from the existing registry .

2. Setting up registry values -
   Sometime the version keeps old loading system values which are not correct for the VA .One way to correct it
   is to open the registry of each stage (loading system setup , load from cassette to punch , etc) from the Hardware
   and compare it to the Default values > what ever is not the same should be changed except of course the ones
   which are machine specific (like X extra to short pins or to drum , gripper location ,Y down to paper disposal) .

   Another way is to download the attached Registry file (changed the name back to Patch1RegistryUpdate.Reg)
   and put it into the Lotem with diskette > double click on the file and it will correct all necessary parameters to default .
   

   Patch Registry update (in text format)

   The following values should NOT be like the default :
   Paper/Plate On Disposal Detector - change the Open to "0".
   Centering Speed Value For Second detector - should be "15"
   Min Plate Height For Operate All Valve (mm) - should be "810"
   Min Plate Height For Operate Middle Valve (mm) -should be "610"
   Min plate Height size for centering wait distance - should be "700"
   Air Lens Suction Enable - should be set = "0"

   FUFU will be always open > change to Open =0
   Conveyor setting will go back to default - have to changed them back to original
   All Communication ports should have Hardware flow control = "0"

3. Communication error with local bd > check that the Hex file name path is set like Default
   Lotem 400/uploadfiles/local3(or newlocal)/filename.hex
   
   
4. DDB put & get error when running Intensity strips > disable the Edge detection for the strips exposure
   Plate Edge detection enable = "0"
   Plate Edge wide range detection ="0"
   
   
5. Communication problem with Brisque > verify machine type under Machine is set to "Lotem400"
   
   
6. Edge Detection problem from time to time > the strips Lower/Upper limits values should be calculated based on
   the Width Start Image area = 37 plus the constants which are mentioned in the Edge calibration procedure
   (don't change the actual Width start image area under machine -should be around 41-42).
   
   
7. Cassette Door detector always on > adjust mechanically the door location relatively to the Magnetic Sensor
   which is on the frame (ver 13004 is checking sensor status before moving X-Y system).
   
   
8. Plate is put into the trash > verify that Paper/Metal detector is adjusted correctly so that it always see Plate as
   ON and Paper as OFF (Tilted bracket is a MUST on all VA units) .
   
   
9. Thin Plate (0.15 or 0.2) requires a different Y to Drum value > the parameter Y to Drum for 0.2 does not work
   (sequence does not use it) so try to find an optimize value which will be ok for both 0.3 and 0.15 (probably
   in the range of 27 mm) or change the Thickness for 0.2 seq to be set as " 0.22" .
