I want to let you know the status of the KAR Printing Lotem 400 with the vacuum pump stopping during exposures and the attachment problems.
The pump that is labeled 230v +/- 10% and 50/60hz will run very hot and fail
if set at 10 in of vacuum.
I found at Kar and at H&W, if I set the pump relief to only allow about
8 in, the pump would not fail, but attachment issues resulted.
Even with vac dams installed in the drum grooves.
I ordered a new vac pump for KAR (using the same part #) as Efraim had suggested, and received a pump with the spec of 220v and 60hz.
This pump is awesome....it will pull 12 in w/o overheating and has worked perfectly at KAR and no attachment issues have been reported.
Just thought you guys would like to know, let me know if you have any questions.
