CPU board AMD K6-III 450 (2V0) or 500 (1V7/1V8) for Lotem Xpose
and automatic BIOS setup procedure

Due to the end-of-life of the CPU board processor, a new CPU board AMDK6-3/500 (605B10490), containing a new processor, is now available for Lotem 400 Xpose.

To determine the CPU type installed in your system, do one of the following:

• During boot, check the screen display. One of the following appears:
• AMD-K6-III 450 2V0 (605B10488)
• AMD-K6-III 500 1V7/1V8 (new - 605B10490)
• Check the label on the CPU heat sync located inside the e-box. One of the following appears:
• AMD-K6-3 450 ACZ (605B10488)
• AMD-K6-3500 ANZ (new - 605B10490)

A new diskette, Master BIOS settings, is required for the new board. The boards are interchangeable, but require different BIOS settings.

Installing the Automatic Bios diskette

1. Insert the Automatic BIOS diskette in the floppy drive and boot. The BIOS loads automatically.
2. After the BIOS has completed loading, remove the Automatic BIOS diskette from the floppy drive.
3. Turn off the power switch.
4. Turn on the power and wait for the following message to appear:

"The CMOS memory has been recovered with security copy"

5. Turn off the power and turn it on again.
6. During boot, press <Del> to enter the BIOS setup.
7. In the BIOS setup screen, set the correct date and time.
