Error Message "Network subsystem has failed" or "6840" appears in Lotem 400 Xpose

Product

  Lotem® 400 Xpose with software version 1.60.09

Error

  • Network subsystem has failed
  • Error 6840

Cause

Carriage and drum polling (monitoring) creates a heavy load on the Central Processing Unit (CPU) buffer.

Solution

Reduce the amount of data entering the CPU buffer at one time:

  1. In the Lotem Controller application, change the following parameters:
    • Drum Motor > Polling Time Interval—change from 0 to 300
    • Carriage Motor > General Polling Time Interval—change from 0 to 300
  2. In the C drive, navigate to lotemexpose > version > pltLm and then double-click exposeConst.
  3. When the exposeConst window opens, on the third line from the top, replace 32 with 12 and save the change.
