Registration pins location conflicts with plate size

Symptoms

   Misregistration

Cause

   Location of registration pins conflicts with plate size

Solution

   Install new head spoilers to solve the conflict between the registration pins and the plate size. All spoilers can be replaced on site.

Lotem 400

Inner (GTO) pin position

220 original pitch (290A8L448A, 290A8L449A)

Order new spoilers, part numbers 507C3E316 and 507C3E315.


You can install the new spoilers at either 188 or 144 pitch.

If any conflicts exist after you install the new spoilers, swap the positions of the new left and right spoilers.

188 Pitch (507C3E316, 507C3E315)

144 Pitch ( 507C3E316, 507C3E315)

Outer (large) pin position

540 original pitch (290A8L444A ,291B2R946A)

To resolve conflicts, swap the positions of the existing left and right spoilers.

414 Swapped Pitch (290A8L444A ,291B2R946A)

If the conflict persists, order new spoilers, part number 507C3E314 (x2), with the Reg Pin in the middle.

To resolve conflicts, swap the positions of the existing left and right spoilers.

241 Swapped Pitch (290B7B955A, 290B7B956A)


If any conflicts exist after you swap the positions of the left and right spoilers, you must install the new spoilers.

You can install the new spoilers at either 247 or 205 pitch.

  • 252-02936A Head winshield - 3R (205-247)
  • 252-02937A Head winshield - 3L (205-247)

Installation order:

  • 247 Pitch ( 252-02936A , 252-02937A )
  • 205 Pitch ( 252-02937A , 252-02936A )

These spoilers require proper grooves on the drum.
If required, drill a groove with the following jigs:

  • 690-00120A Drum pin drilling Lotem 400
  • 690-00127A Drum drilling tool, D=6, L=50

Outer (large) pin position

404.5 Original pitch (290B7B954A, 290B7B952A)

To resolve conflicts, swap the positions of the existing left and right spoilers.

540.5 Swapped Pitch (290B7B954A, 290B7B952A)

If the conflict persists, order new spoilers, part number 252-00274 (x2), with the Reg Pin in the middle.
