Patch 4 release notes for Lotem 400 Quantum, version 1.50.08

The Patch 4 release notes describe the new head grippers, an option that is standard for new devices.

Problem

During actuation and when the head grippers open, the drum moves due to
the mechanical configuration of the head grippers. This can cause misregistration.

Solution

New head grippers have slots instead of V grooves to enable the drum to complete its movement before actuation.

In addition, Lotem Controller now supports the new grippers and a new loading cycle.
There are four additional registry parameters for the new head grippers:

• Drum to Plate after extra for 0.15 = 0
• Drum to Plate after extra for 0.2 = 2
• Drum to Plate after extra for 0.3 = 3
• Drum to Plate after extra for Small = 0

Note: All values are default.

A new registry parameter allows you to check if the new head grippers are installed:
Is Head Gripper V-groove = 0 indicates that the new head grippers are installed.

Note: If registration problems persist, reduce the MOMENT FOR 0.2 parameter from 45 to 35.
