Overview
The Lotem 400 Quantum is a Creo 4-page PlateSetter. It uses the Lotem family
proven, fast rotating external drum and thermal imaging head technology.
The Lotem 400 Quantum will be available in both platforms:
the semi manual and the fully automated version of Lotem 400, designed for unattended
operation. The Lotem 400 Quantum offers superb quality and high plate
making productivity of up to 25 plates per hour, a multiple cassette unit stores
up to 220 plates of various sizes in its three cassettes: each can hold 50 plates
of 0.3 mm thickness, 70 plates of 0.2 mm thickness, or 85 plates of 0.15 mm
thickness. These plates are automatically loaded, slip-sheets are removed, In
addition the customized, inline punching delivers automated, accurate and repeatable
notches prior to imaging for precise registration and faster mounting on the
press. Turbo Screening and FM Screening provide a smooth dot shape, enhanced
detail and highly predictable dot gain.
The Lotem 400 Quantum can plot any plate size from the smallest 2-page press
to the largest 4-page press Driven by Brisque 4 or by Prinergy.

| Plate | The Lotem 400 Quantum is capable of plotting any 830nm plates within the range from 381x318mm (15" x 12.5") to 750 x 622mm (29.5"x 24.5"). The Lotem 400 Quantum supports plates of thickness within the 0.15 - 0.3 mm (6-12 mil nominal) range. |
| Punch | The Lotem 400 Quantum is capable of having up to 6 punches. (the same punches as of the Lotem 800) |
| Digital Front End | Both the Brisque and Prinergy can drive the Lotem 400 Quantum. Brisque 4.0 under beta while Prinergy connectivity will be available during August |
| Screening | Lotem 400 Quantum will support Creo Turbo Screening via Brisque and Super Cell screen when driven via Prinergy. |
| Resolution | The Lotem 400 Quantum supports screen ruling of 2400dpi (Res 94.48), 1200dpi (Res 47.24) or 2540dpi (Res 100). |
| Load | While one plate is imaged, the second plate is positioned in standby and loaded automatically after the plate on the drum is released. After imaging the plate is unloaded automatically. |
