FCO Note: Keep in mind that the carriage HP + bracket is replaced to new type in order to install the oil kit bracket. Assy P/N - 507A3D222 (see picture).

Reason For Change

In some cases, the chain base bracket presses on the oiling kit bracket (picture 1). This can cause extra friction between the carriage and the V groove. It may cause unwanted lines to appear on the image.There are two oiling kits, one for each side of the carriage. Replace only the one on the HP detector side.

Description of Change

Replace the old bracket with a new one.

Test Procedure

Activate the carriage. Make sure that there is smooth movement without extra friction.
Make sure that there is a gap between the oiling kit bracket to the chain base bracket.
Expose some files and make sure that there are no unwanted lines on the image.
