Field Change Order #27281- Powerful Punch Motor

Description The new punch motor is more efficient and also less likely to get stuck when double loading occurs. The existing punch motor has also difficulty punching 0.4 (mm) plates. When double loading occurs the punch motor gets stuck. The plate must then be rescued from the punch.

1. Reason For Change

• The new punch motor has a ratio of 308:1. The motor is slower but more powerful. Punch action is performed in the background so that machine throughput is not affected.
• The new motor comes with the pin glued to the shaft.

2. Description of Change

• Replace the old motor with the new one. This replacement is only required in cases where the punch motor gets stuck and/or does not work well.
  

3. Change Procedure

• Open the front door using the GUI.
• Disconnect power from the punch motor that needs to be replaced.
• Open the two screws (see picture no. 1) in the back of the punch unit, which connect the motor to the punch assembly.

• Put loctite 242 on the motor screws and reinstall the new motor.
• Reconnect the power supply to the motor.

4. Test Procedure

• Put a cheater on the front door interlock.
• Open the correct punch motor dialog in the GUI and activate the motor.
• Make sure that the motor works properly and that the H.P. detector also works.
• Load different thickness plates and check the punch performance on each plate.
• Remove the cheater.
• Close the front door.

Go back to working status.
