Reason For Change
Increase loading reliability by using an improved vacuum hose and a new swivel-hose interface.
Description of Change.

Change the vacuum hose.
Change the existing swivel hose interface to a new one composed of a single part.
On the hose interface there is one air hose connector and two optional connectors. The optional connectors are available for future use. They are closed off with plugs.

· Place a metal bracket between the head spoilers and the drum interface base. This will enable you to release the swivel from the drum (see picture no. 2).

Release the swivel unit from the drum, by turning the swivel counter-clock wise
with a 1 1/8" open wrench (see picture no. 3).
Disconnect the black vacuum hose nipple from the swivel by turning the swivel counter-clock wise. Use the 1 1/8" open wrench (see picture no. 4).

Disconnect the black vacuum hose from the nipple in the base of the main frame, by rotating the hose with your hand (see picture no. 5).

Put Teflon tape on the new hose interface and screw it into the swivel (see picture no. 7). Close it only with your hand, see final position in the drawing below.

Cut a 40 (cm) long section from the new vacuum hose supplied with the FCO.
Place two hose clamps on the hose ends. Tighten the hose clamp with a flat screw -driver until it just grabs the hose (see picture no. 8).

Connect the hose to the nipple in the mainframe and tighten the hose clamp with a ratchet and a 3/8" socket (see picture no. 9).

Connect the other side of the hose to the new hose interface on the swivel.
Put Teflon tape on the swivel threads and reconnect the swivel unit to the drum. Place a metal bracket between the head spoilers and the drum assembly base first in order to tighten the swivel. Use a 1 1/8" open wrench.
After adjusting the hose location on the nipple, close the hose clamp with a ratchet and 3/8" socket (see picture no. 10).

Note: Make sure that the hose interface does not touch the plastic laser cover nor does it protrude from the main frame
(see picture no. 11)

Reconnect the blue hose to the vacuum nipple on the swivel (see picture no. 10).
Release the old nipple from the drum vacuum pump using a 1 1/8" open wrench (see picture no. 12).

Disconnect the other side of the hose from the nipple in the lower compartment.
Put Teflon tape on the new pump nipple supplied with the FCO. Connect it to the vacuum pump using a 1 1/8" open wrench (see picture no. 13).

Place two clamps on the hose edges and start to tighten them until they grab the hose.
Connect one side of the hose to the new nipple and tighten the hose clamp firmly (see picture no. 14).

Connect the other side of the hose to the nipple located in the lower compartment. Tighten the clamp with the ratchet (3/8" socket) and tighten it firmly (see picture no. 15).

Power up the machine and start up the application.
Place cheaters on the open doors and covers.
Open the drum vacuum pump dialog in the GUI and activate the pump.
Go over all the hose connections and make sure there are no vacuum leakages.
Power off the drum vacuum pump.
Take the cheaters out.
Reinstall the plastic laser cover and close all the doors, make sure the cover isn't touching the hose interface.
Load and expose on different plates thickness.
Make sure that there are no attachment problems.

None.

Dispose of the old parts.
