1. Reason For Change
When the paper sheets are removed from the paper bin, the interlock wirings
can be damaged or even torn off. If one of the door interlocks is damaged, the
paper disposal motor will not work during loading sequence, and the paper cannot
be disposed off. The left and right covers protect the wiring and the interlock
box from being damaged.
2. Description of Change
Installing covers over the bare interlock wiring.
3. Change Procedure
1. Before installing the covers, clean the area with alcohol, as shown in the following picture:
Note: Currently, the paper disposal area does not have holes for screws, so the covers are supplied with double-sided tape.
2. Remove the paper from the double-sided tape.
3. Insert the right cover over the interlock wires in the right paper disposal area as shown below, and press the cover firmly into place.
4. Repeat the two previous steps for the left cover in the left paper disposal area.
Note: In the next mainframe revision, the covers will be connected with three screws (one from the side and two from under)
