Lotem 800

Known Bugs and Workarounds

The following bugs remain from previous versions (old bugs):

  1. Drum "run-a-way" bug:
When the MCF board does not start up well, it may cause the drum to "run-a-way".
  2. Start-up fails when there is a problem with one of the actuators that touch the drum (load and unload grippers and rollers, left and right balance arm). If one of these components is not in the right position (due to a non-functioning detector, air piston, etc), the system displays the relevant error message, the MCF start-up fails, and the application crashes. (In previous versions the GUI hangs and no relevant message appears).
  3. The Squareness issue awaits further improvement.
  4. Different problems with the TEC system:
    a. The TEC Temperature window shows 0 degrees (in red) when pointing at the TEC Card with the mouse pointer. The yellow window appears and shows the correct on-line temperature.
    b. Faulty error messages related to TEC cards, especially after opening/closing doors.
  5. The following faulty error messages from the Brisque may appear when changing the plate type: "No plate on drum" and "Load plate required"
    Workaround:
    Perform "Force Plate On Drum",
Configure the plate type on the Brisque and then perform "Restart Plate State".
Or, change the Loading System Setup/Loading System Status (0) back to 0.
  6. Pins pop up and down when attempting to release the cassette.
When you press "Release cassette" and drum power switches off, the drum starts rotating back and forth (effect of gravity on an unbalanced system) at a speed higher than 5 rpm. Consequently, the hardware turns the 24V supply off and the cassette pins pop up and down a couple of times. While this is happening, you cannot pull the cassette out. In the meanwhile, a timeout takes place and the "cassette pins down" command stops. You must then go to the machine and press "Release cassette" again.
Alternatively, you can wait for the drum to "calm down" before you try to release the cassette.
  7. If you attempt to Abort a "Motor Go Speed" operation that you initiated from the Motor Dialog box, the dialog box may "hang". This only happens when you attempt to abort the operation while the motor is accelerating.

The following new bugs have been identified in this version:

  1. The Light detector (LDT) dialog box on local3 machines is missing.
  2. The Paper disposal button in the Loading System dialog box is not functioning properly.
